With the track in mind, Turner Motorsport delivers again with these solid aluminum engine. A traditional rubber mount will flex and twist which can result in a slight loss of torque delivery to the drive line. With solid mounts, there is zero deflection resulting in no loss, and maximum power delivery. On the transmission side of things, a solid mount will provide smoother, crisper shifts, by reducing drive line slop. The result is a smoother power delivery, and increased driving performance.Β
These mounts areΒ a no-compromise design for all-out racing use. Full solid aluminum mounts should not be used on street-driven cars. Because there is no material to absorb vibration these will be quite harsh for regular street use (track cars don’t care about noise).
If you are running poly engine mounts, you shouldΒ also run poly transmission mounts. On the other hand, if you are running solid engine mounts, you should use solid transmission mounts. Mixing the two can cause a variety of issues.
