This new upgraded turbocharger looks identical to your stock unit – and that’s by design. Visually undetectable by the dealership, it’s built from a brand new casting custom-made for VTT, with a reverse billet compressor wheel and a brand new turbine. This turbocharger is capable of supporting 40-75 horsepower over the stock unit, and will install easily with no changes to water or oil lines. You can even retain the stock plastic diverter valve, although an upgrade is recommended, due to the stock part’s tendency to crack and leak. Vargas also sells a DFB DV+ system custom-made for this setup (ES#3171160).
