Genuine MINI Thermostat Housing W/ Thermostat Kit

This Genuine MINI part is typically referred to as the thermostat neck / housing, this part mounts on the highest point on the head and controls the flow back to the pressure tank. Cracking, which usually occurs around the gasket seal and leaks, are symptoms that it’s worn out. Up to 7/2012 production will need adapter   12518611289  .   Production  7/2012 – 2/2013 will need adapter  12518614952 .  2/2013 + need no adapter. 

This is usually found by a blue coolant pooling on top of the transmission housing leaking from the thermostat itself. You will need to replace this asap as you can overheat and cook the engine.

• Profile gasket
• O-ring
• Vent screw
• Two seals and a bleeder screw
