Full carbon fiber intake to increase flow, performance and aesthetics! Dual inlet design for maximized air flow while retaining the OEM+ fitment. 

The most common N55 intake utilizes a short plastic tube and oversized cone filter; it is your job to have better taste than the common N55 owner. This carbon intake changes the whole image of the N55 engine while maintaining a flow of cool air and added induction noise. With a dual inlet design the engine bay retains its functionality while adding a second inlet to provide your engine with improved air flow and sound. To ensure the engine gets the coolest air possible the second inlet is located in the “sweet spot” on the cold side of the engine for the lowest intake air temps and most air flow possible. The cone filter features a bellmouth velocity stack filter that creates the satisfying flutter after letting of the throttle. 

Our Turner Carbon Fiber Intakes start with a 3D scan of the factory intake and engine bay. Engineers use the 3D imaging of the chassis to design the intake in SolidWorks modeling software. Using a Flow Bench, the Intake is then airflow tested against the factory intake, to ensure optimal airflow improvement against stock. The final product is a beautiful and functional Carbon Fiber Intake, CAD designed for perfect integration with the OEM inlet ducting and stock mounting locations and proven to flow better than factory.

Design:

– Carbon Fiber Intake Tube

• Carbon inlet tube featuring a smoother interior without corrugations for a smooth flow path.
• Integrated carbon flange allows secure mounting of the tube to the carbon air boxes.
• Intake tube is manufactured using 2×2 twill weave carbon fiber for a great look in the engine bay.
• Gloss finish clear coat for UV protection.
• 4-ply reinforced silicone coupler and 6061-T6 black anodized aluminum flange that utilizes the factory o-ring and retaining clip.

– Air Box

• Carbon fiber airboxes are manufactured using 2X2 twill weave carbon fiber and protected with a gloss finish clear coat for UV resistance to match the intake tube.
• Air box mounts in stock location with supplied hardware.

– Air Filter

• Conical hi-flow reusable air filter; featuring 8 ply oiled cotton gauze construction to maximize filtration efficiency.
• Bellmouth (velocity stack) filter flange inlet to reduce turbulence in order to maximize flow.

Turner N55 Intake System was designed, engineered, tested and quality inspected by our Research and Development team at Turner. Nothing but the highest level of precision and quality through leading-edge product development technology including FARO laser scanning for reverse engineering and quality inspection, SolidWorks 3D CAD modeling, rapid prototyping utilizing our in-house 3D printer and rigorous long term product testing. Performance data metrics are collected utilizing Mustang AWD 500 SE in ground dyno and in-house Superflow SF-750 Flowbench.
