One of the most important steps in building a custom exhaust is choosing the correct muffler. It is crucial to get the correct amount of volume and tone when choosing a muffler. The ECS Tuning Valved mufflers makes this choice easier by giving you the best of both worlds. Close the valves for comfort and open up the valves when you want to hear the intoxicating exhaust notes of your custom exhaust!

These valved mufflers use the same tried and true design that is used in several ECS Tuning exhaust that our customers have come to love. 

 

PART DESIGN

• Tested multiple muffler designs to achieve the most desirable exhaust notes with the largest delta between valve closed and valve open driving experiences 
• Available in 2.5″ or 3.0″ and right or left side configurations
• Compact designed 19.8″ x 9.5″ x 5″ mufflers

  • 2.5″ Muffler Weighs 9lbs

• T304 Stainless Steel 1.25mm wall thickness inlet and outlet tubes 
• Valve Closed Routing – 3-chamber perforated reduction tubes with stainless steel wool packing material provides a sporty driving experience without causing excessive resonance, volume and performance loss
• Valve Open Routing – Straight-through 2.5″ or 3.0″ perforated tube with stainless steel wool packing material provides the most unobstructed flow path for race-inspired driving experience to maximize volume 
• Vacuum-actuated exhaust valve provides outstanding reliability in the harshest conditions. Unlike electronic servo motors that are prone to failure, our exhaust valves have been tested in thousands of applications and have proven to be reliable. 
• REQUIREMENT: Post-throttle body intake manifold vacuum source needed to activate exhaust valve. You will need to tap into an external vacuum source or purchase of a boost/vacuum tap, depending on engine configuration. 

 

KIT CONTENTS

• Your choice of a 2.5″ or 3.0″ left or right side valved mufflers
• Installation Kit (Choose between rocker stitch or key fob switch)
  • Vacuum Solenoid (2mm nipple)
  • Brass Tee Fitting (2mm nipple)
  • Vacuum Check Valve (2mm nipple)
  • Silicone Vacuum Hose (2mm ID x 16.5′ length)
